Worth every penny! Installed it this afternoon, good instructions, work carefully and you’ll be fine. Using it in combination with an iFi PowerX, someone with experience suggested this combination and it is indeed as another review states an absolute no brainer.
Think small improvements, but then all over the audiophile parameter board, adding up to make the N130 perform in a whole class higher. Highly recommended!
This is a no brainer, huge sound improvement for very little money. I bought another power supply, but with the same specs as the PD Creative power supply. This is a very reliable company that does what they promise. Best and cheapest investment to my audio set (Hegel and Dynaudio)
Originally had the sbooster interface and their power supply kit. It was an overpriced setup. I removed and returned the complete setup. Ordered the PD LPSU for my Node 130, the linear PS was not compatible with the 120v in the states, so I use the Ifi iPOWER ELITE power supply. Over 200 dollars less expensive than the sbooster kit and sound better in my opinion. Wide soundstage and serious stereo imaging. Detail increased in instrument clarity. Excellent customer service! All questions were answered prior to me placing my order.
Sound quality improved dramatically, more than I even expected. This is an excellent upgrade for my Node streamer. Glad that I found out about it. Installation is pretty simple and only took me about 15 minutes. Highly recommended
LPSU INTERFACE V2 for Bluesound Node (N130)
Fantastic Upgrade. Absolutely noticable sound improvement. Don´t buy a new streamer, get this little piece of hardware. Soundstage gets deeper and wider by a huge margin. Instrument-Seperation is more refined. HIgher tones are crystal clear and razer sharp, but never annoying and harsh. Mids are lush but always relaxed, bass is more intense, dry and fast. I didn´t expect this, but it´s reality. Go the extra mile and get it in combination with the linear power supply and you will be happy for many years to come.
Après avoir lu de nombreux commentaires positifs sur la carte d’alimentation de PD Creative pour le Node N130, j’ai décidé de franchir le pas pour lui adjoindre une alimentation linéaire que je possédais déjà et dont je suis satisfait.
Commande passée sur le site un mercredi à 21H, confirmation de l’expédition dès le lendemain midi (jeudi) par UPS « standard » et livré le mardi suivant en point relai.
L’emballage était très correct et le manuel d’installation très clair. En 10 minutes, mon Node était prêt à être rebranché.
Dès la 1ère écoute, le résultat sur la qualité du son était déjà bel et bien là !
Tout ce que j’ai pu lire depuis des mois sur le sujet a été confirmé : les basses sont devenus plus précises et profondes, les aigus moins agressifs. Les instruments se détachent les uns des autres et la scène sonore gagne en espace. Les voix se montrent plus présentes.
Et surtout, surtout, l’écoute est devenue beaucoup plus confortable : il n’y a plus de fatigue même à un volume plutôt élevé. Je peux écouter à présent pendant des heures au même niveau du potard de mon ampli tout type de musique (même dans le répertoire metal dont les morceaux « occupent » très largement toute la bande passante) alors qu’avant cette alimentation, je finissais par baisser le volume voire même arrêter d’écouter par fatigue.
Bref, je recommande à 200% l’achat de cette carte d’alimentation de PD creative !

After reading many positive reviews of PD Creative’s power supply board for the Node N130, I decided to take the plunge and add a linear power supply that I already owned and was happy with.
Order placed on the site on a Wednesday at 9 p.m., confirmation of shipment the next day at noon (Thursday) by “standard” UPS and delivered the following Tuesday to a relay point.
The packaging was very correct and the installation manual very clear. In 10 minutes, my Node was ready to be reconnected.
From the first listen, the result on the sound quality was already there!
Everything I’ve read for months on the subject has been confirmed: the bass has become more precise and deep, the treble less aggressive. The instruments stand out from each other and the soundstage gains in space. The voices are more present.
And above all, above all, listening has become much more comfortable: there is no longer any fatigue even at a rather high volume. I can now listen for hours at the same level of the knob of my amp any type of music (even in the metal repertoire whose pieces “occupy” very largely all the bandwidth) whereas before this power supply, I ended up lowering the volume or even stopping listening out of fatigue.
In short, I recommend 200% the purchase of this power supply card from PD creative!
I just upgraded my Node-X with the PD-Creative NODE X – LPSU INTERFACE V2. Installment was very easy to do, because of the helpfull manual. It took only 15 minutes to replace the PSU board. Hardest thing was closing the case, just because you have to press hard untill you’ll hear the loud click (same as opening the case). I did connect a powerfull regulated 5V PSU, first impression of sound – real great “staging” and level of detail. Sound is really fast, having great attack & punch. I don’t feel the need to connect an external DAC at this moment. So for Node-X owners, an upgrade highly recommended *****
I just upgraded the V1 LPS board to their latest updated V2 board for the N130 Node and the improvement is not small. The first thing I noticed right away is the locked in soundstage without a collapse or loss of Bass during the demanding passages as with version 1, this has been a huge upgrade to the sound. The bass has also definitely been improved, tighter with more control as well as the notes seem to jump out of a blacker background. A very fine product by PD CREATIVE. I’m amazed on how far you can go with the Bluesound node as a transport.
I bought this kit purely out of curiosity. I’m quite sceptical about cable myths, power upgrades etc. It took only 10-15 minutes to install and I’m powering the unit with a cheap 5v wallwart for now. It does not need much fancy power shizzle to immediately hear better result. Allthough I will probably soon get a decent 5v thing soon. I must say: I’m amazed with the results! More detail, stereo image (soundstage?) has improved noticeably! In short, I totally did not expect to hear so much more. More of everything in fact. Tested it with an album of Yello in hi res. An album I have been listening to for years. I just trust my own ears, this is a bargain deal to lift your Node to another level
As an avid ASR reader I’m highly skeptical to cable, psu, network upgrades to increase the HiFi experience.
A HiFi device bought should perform optimal as is. Setup: Node N130 analog out>node>Audio GD power amp>Taga F100 (upgraded filter).
Out of curiosity I could not resist the Node 3 psu upgrade. To me it was cheap enough to give it a try. Bought a second hand Ifi power 2 5V psu.
Install was easy using the manual.
Wonder full, the sound actually improves and in a good way!! Small intricate sounds become more apparent, almost like the mid range opens up. Bass is a smidge more tight.
Before you buy a new DAC for your node try this PSU upgrade first and save the money for something else 😉

Witam. Początkowo byłem sceptycznie nastawiony co do zmiany zasilania na liniowe, jednak po zmianie interfejsu różnicę słychać odczuwalnie. Dźwięk jest pełniejszy ,bas wyraźniejszy , lepsza dynamika, instrumenty bardziej szczegółowe ,słuchane wcześniej utwory brzmią wyraźnie lepiej. Polecam tą modyfikację.

If You are Node owner, it’s a must have upgrade, with high quality external power supply, if possible.
All aspects of sound and performance of my system (Roksan M2, Focal, etc.) were taken to next level.
Perhaps the next upgrade should be external DAC, but as the overall sound quality is not far away from my recent head-fi system (Hugo 2; Clears, Denon 9200), I am not in a rush.
Durch das Upgrade höre ich das erste Mal, wozu die Diamant Hochtöner der B&W 803 fähig sind. Kein Schärfe mehr. Der Hochton ist seidenweich. Die Instrumente sind sauber voneinander getrennt. Die Räumlichkeit hat sich extrem verbessert.
Schade, dass ich so lange mit dem Upgrade gewartet habe. Danke an das Team von PD Creative.

Lediglich eine Fixierung am Board mit der rechten unteren Gehäuse-Schraube hinten hätte ich mir noch gewünscht.
In 15 Minuten eingebaut, IFI Netzteil 5V/2.5A dran und lauschen.
Bei mir gehts vom Node N130 über ein Oyaide Silber Digital Kabel zum neuen MusicalFidelity DAC M6x und dann an die aktiven Canton A45 Boxen.
Von Anfang an mehr Druck im Bass und Transparenz im Klang.
Nächste Woche kommt noch an lineares Netzteil an den Node. Bin gespannt, was das noch einmal bringt.

Great product with great workmanship.
The only thing I would have wished for was a fixation on the board with the lower right housing screw at the back.
Installed in 15 minutes, IFI power pack 5V/2.5A on and listen.
For me it goes from the Node N130 via an Oyaide silver digital cable to the new MusicalFidelity DAC M6x and then to the active Canton A45 speakers.
More pressure in the bass and transparency in the sound right from the start.
Next week a linear power supply will be added to the node. I’m curious what that will bring on top.
I don’t know who or why someone would look at a bluesound node and think they could transform it into an audiophile streamer but he or she sure did with this upgrade kit. The improvement is revelatory. I use as a transport into an external dac and the improvement is astounding. 5 day delivery to the USA. Anyone with a Phillips screwdriver can install in 20 minutes. Paired with a sbooster lps it is the most impressive 500 dollar investment I have made to my system. If you have a node just buy this. You will be amazed.

My Node 3rd Generation has gained at least three steps forward.
A calm in the sound and the precision / details have clearly gained.
If I could, I would have given more that 5 stars. An absolutely brilliant improvement. I’m using it with an iFi Audio iPower X Low Noise Power Supply and the sound is fantastic. It just goes to prove that mains power needs to be kept out of all audio equipment, and this is certainly no exception. Perhaps even more so!
Very quick delivery to the US within a week of ordering. Almost immediately i received an email alerting me to a *possible* manufactering glitch and requested I send photos of board- which I did and got an almost immediate response that my board was fine…but for my trivial inconvenience I was being credited with a 15% discount…which I immediately received.
The instructions were very clear and unambigious,but did not fully warn me how difficult snapping it back together would be…it took me twice as long to close it back as it did to open it, remove the existing board, and fix in the PD one.
I too use a very large LPS previously used on a SBT (1200VA transformer, 40k uF in filter caps, discrete regulators, additional choke filtering etc, so its no suprise the analog outputs on the N130 were very much improved over the rather bland and compressed presentation the stock player gives. BUT the digital output also got a boost with more extension at both ends and an overall purer and less hashy tonality.
The 2.5mm DC plug that i had been using with the Squeezebox Touch was way too sloppy and loose into the PD board, so i got a 2.5->2.1mm adaptor from Amazon which was a much better fit…but i also ordered a new DC cable with the proper plugs hardwired from Ghentaudio- which was only delivered today, and will be tested shortly.
Regardless…this is a highy recommended upgrade- just be prepared to unshuck an oyster when you try to close the Node back.
Used with Allo Shanti LPS and Signal cable power cable for a very noticeable sound improvement. Excellent products, highly recommended.

WOW. i paired this with a cheap linear power supply and it is spectacular. i am all in at $220.00 and is well worth it. i use my node as streamer only and still makes a big difference. truly takes the node to a new level as just a streamer. wish pawel would offer a 120v lps for this, it would be one stop shopping. highly recommended.
I saw reviews of this and thought I’d give it a try—I already have a 5v 3a linear power supply that was custom made for a Squeezebox 3. I’ve been tweaking every part of my system—wires, tubes, different amps and preamps without much change in what I’d describe as hash. But the problem was at the source—a new Bluesound Node. Installing this was relatively easy with the instructions being very clear. The hardest part was reassembly—seating the top to fit under the hinges. The sound cleared up dramatically, both the analogue and digital outs. Linn used to say music started with the source, so spend half your budget on a good turntable. In this case improving the source of your music is relatively cheap. I was hesitant to modify a nearly new streamer, but it was definitely worth it.
I was expecting a subtle, if any, difference from installing this mod. Instead, I’m blown away. Every aspect of the music is better, for a fairly minimal investment. I honestly can’t imagine NOT installing this mod if you care about high-resolution output from the NODE. Installation took all of 15 minutes and was very, very easy.
Świetna robota Panie Pawle. Jestem pod ogromnym wrażeniem. Dźwięk jest niesamowity w całym paśmie. Dodam że pierwotnie miałem zasilacz impulsowy firmy na i. Było nieźle, ale po zmianie na zasilacz liniowy jest imponująco!!!
The board was easy to install and fit perfectly. The sound was very much improved. I could go into the separation and the way the sound stage, placement of the instruments was closer to a live performance. But I just will cut to the chase: if you do any upgrade to the new Bluesound Node this is the one to do! You won’t regret it. I live in the US so had to source a 120v linear power supply from China. The systems work seamlessly together.
The music sounds fantastic, noticable improvement. Same quality as before, very well done.
Duża poprawa jeśli chodzi o samego DACa ale w dalszym ciągu to nie jest poziom mojego Myteka Brooklyn. Jeśli zaś chodzi o sam transport to nie słyszę już różnic między transportem z Node a bezpośrednim połączeniem NASa do DACa Brooklyn’a. Zmiana zdecydowanie w dobrą stronę.
